| Migrating Humpback and Southern Right Whales can be seen from a number of locations as they make their way along the Denmark coastline. The best time of the year to see these amazing creatures is June to October. Conspicuous Cliffs is probably one of the better vantage points and is situated 45kms west of the Denmark town site. There are ample carparking facilities with toilets and picnic areas. The views from this lookout are spectacular. |

The Valley of the Giants is located 15kms east of Walpole and is one of the most popular
tourist attractions in the Denmark area. The spectacular giant trees and magnificent forest
can be seen from a number of walk trails that take visitors through a grove of ancient tingle
trees called the Ancient Empire. The most breathtaking views of this beautiful forest can be seen from the Tree Top Walk. This is a 600 meter walkway with the highest point being 40 meters above the forest floor. The walkways gradual assent and descent can easily be accessed by all ages and is also suitable for assisted disabled. This world famous attraction is one experience that should not be missed. |

| Denmark is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking National Parks in WA. West Cape Howe National Park, William Bay National Park and Walpole-Nornalup National Park combine areas of magnificent forests, beautiful secluded coastline and rugged granite outcrops. Although there are wilderness areas of the parks not assessable to vehicles there are plenty of areas where the visitor can enjoy the natural beauty of the ancient forests, sandy beaches and the crystal blue waters of the Southern Ocean. |

| Denmark is now one of the main wine producing areas in the Great Southern Region of WA. There are a wide range of both large and small vineyards to visit and sample some of the wonderful produce available for sale. Many of the wineries have restaurants and tea rooms where you can enjoy the locally produced seafood, poultry and meat dishes or sample the delights of the local preserves such as honey, jams and chutneys. |
